The County Department of Youth, Gender, Sports, Culture and Social Services was formed to implement County Government policies towards protecting and promoting the interest and rights of Children, Persons with disabilities, Youths, Minorities and Marginalised and older members of the society.

Being one of the youngest CEC members Ms. Agufana pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree inCommunity Development at Daystar University.She has wealth of experience in the NGO world. She started her career as a Programs Officer at the International Cultural Youth Exchange, which deals with young volunteers. She later moved to the Corporative Link of the United States of America (CLUSA), she coordinated the linkages between youth and development partners in different disciplines. Due to her involvement in policy formulation and management, she joined the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) where she attained a post-graduate diploma in project management. She has also served at the Youth Alive Kenya where she offered social development consultancy services to the youth and women at the policy level.
