Department of Education, Science, Vocational and Technical Training is currently conducting the Annual Vocational Training Centres (VTCs) at Kidundu Yearly Meeting of Friends Church- Vihiga Sub County.
This year’s fete is themed “Leveraging Technology to Nurture Talent While Inculcating National Values For Social Economic Prosperity”
This event has recorded more than 45 items from the VTCs across the County are showcasing their talent on various categories such as

Speaking to the press CECM Education, Science Technical and Vocational Training Dr. Ruth Agesa noted that the one day event was in preparation for the Nationals which will be held in Nakuru in April this year where they will be defending their title. With the new Competency Based Education and Training (CBET) curriculum that is in place, students are encouraged to take part in all co-curricular activities.
Vihiga recorded an outstanding performance in last year’s VTCs Drama Festivals at Embu with Gimomoi, Boyani, Mwambeba and Maseno VTCs scooping best performances in the Play, Narrative , Spoken Word, Choral Verse, Solo Verses, Mime and Stand Up Comedy categories.
