CLIMATE MASS RESILIENT SUMMIT

Attended the opening and first day of the Climate Mass Resilient Summit (2nd Regional Summit) organized by the Pontifical Academy of Sciences and Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences of the Vatican at the University of Massachusetts (UMass) in Boston, where global leaders from various fields convened to discuss climate mitigation, adaptation, and societal transformation.
As a panelist, alongside the Governor of Massachusetts Maura Healey and Gustavo Beliz, a member of the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences and former Minister of Justice in Argentina, with moderation by Chancellor Marcelo, we discussed the impact of global climate change on local governments and communities.
The discussion focused on building resilience, climate adaptation initiatives, whole-of-government actions, innovative ways to increase investments in resilience, and enhancing community capacity while centering environmental justice.
