DRILLING OF A WATER BOREHOLE

Governor Dr. Wilber Khasilwa Ottichilo today hosted a team from The Water Project led by President Stan Patriac ahead of the official launch for drilling of a water borehole at Tigoi Girls High School in Jepkoyai ward, Hamisi Sub County.

The Governor expressed his high regards to the partnership with The Water Project that has seen drilling of over 300 boreholes in Schools and Health facilities across Vihiga through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with the County Government in January 2023.

He further appreciated work being done by the organization especially treatment at water sources that has led to prevention of diseases such as Cholera.

Going forward, he challenged the team to embrace green energy instead of hand pumps due to the current high demand for water.
