INDUCTION EXERCISE

Department of Education, Science, Technical and Vocational Training in partnership with LAPFUND today conducted an induction exercise for the newly appointed Technical, Vocational, Education and Training (TVET) trainers and Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) teachers at Vihiga Friends Church Resource Centre.

Chief Officer in charge of Education Dominic Luvavo congratulated the new staff on their appointment, emphasizing on the need for them to familiarize with the 2016 Human Resource Policies and Procedures Manual for them to be committed and resourceful at work.

LAPFUND majorly focused on educating the teachers and trainers on various contributions for their retirement benefit skills. Western Regional Coordinator for LAPFUND George Ochieng acknowledged a cordial working relationship with County Government of Vihiga, stating that majority of County staff have enrolled with the Savings scheme in a move that has also seen most retirees successfully benefitting.
