PUBLIC FINANCE MANAGEMENT ACT EXERCISE
In accordance with Section 118 of the Public Finance Management Act, 2012, County Government of Vihiga through the Department of Finance and Economic Planning completed a two-day County-wide exercise where residents got a chance to go through the County Budget Review and Outlook Paper (CBROP) and give their views.
The CBROP’s primary objectives include;
Review past Fiscal performance and its impact on Financial objectives
Review past Fiscal performance and its impact on Financial objectives Provide updated Economic and Fiscal forecasts to serve as a basis for budget formulation for the upcoming Financial Year
Provide updated Economic and Fiscal forecasts to serve as a basis for budget formulation for the upcoming Financial Year Establish primary ceilings for the upcoming fiscal year, outlining indicative projections for the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) period

In Tiriki East Sub County, the exercise was conducted at Ludodo Friends Church while residents of Emuhaya Sub County converged at Mwituha ACK Church.
Emusenjeli Church of God hosted residents of Luanda Sub County whereas the exercise was held at Vihiga Friends Church for Vihiga Sub County residents.
In Sabatia Sub County, the activity took place at
Kigama Friends Church while residents of Hamisi Sub County conglomerated at Munzatsi Friends Church.
