✅1000 fish fingerlings each

‎County Project Coordinator Wilson Munala has called on the farmers to take advantage of the grant to grow and also earn income. ‎According to Munala, the farmers will also be trained on how to produce local fish feeds from locally available ingredients like Black Soldier Fly (BSF) and Red Earthworms due to high costs of processed feeds for purposes of continuation of Aquaculture production even when the initiative ends.
‎Moi Girls Vokoli and Nyango’ri Boys Secondary Schools have also been chosen to pilot the Aquaculture -4- nutrition in schools.
‎Yesterday, the schools received fish feeds (fish starter crumble, tilapia grower and tilapia finisher high pro),18 by 23 pond liners, birds and predator nets.
‎They will also incoperate poultry and vegetable kitchen farming (Integrated Aquaculture) through the construction of a poultry house on top of the fish pond. Poultry droppings will fertilize the water allowing for planktons to grow and feed the fish. Water from the ponds will also be used for irrigation on the kitchen garden.
