VIHIGA TO BENEFIT FROM HOUSING DEVELOPMENT AS COUNTY ENTERS INTO COLLABORATION WITH NATIONAL HOUSING CORPORATION(NHC).

His Excellency Dr. Wilber Khasilwa Ottichilo, EGH hosted officials from the National Housing Corporation Kenya (NHC) led by Hon Benard Parsaloi who are in the county to explore possible collaboration in housing development in Vihiga as well as debts owed to the corporation by defunct local authorities.

Dr. Ottichilo assured the NHC that the County Government of Vihiga is ready to provide land for the development of affordable housing units as the county has enough population that will guarantee a ready market for units once complete.

The team later visited pieces of land proposed for the affordable housing schemes at Capital in Mbale, Endeli in Sabatia, and Matsigulu in Central Maragoli.
