🚧 Kakamega Forest Fence Construction Update 🌳

We’re proud to share a significant milestone in the conservation of Kenya’s only tropical rainforest – 33 kilometers of the Kakamega Forest electric fence have now been completed.

This vital project, implemented by Rhino Ark in partnership with Kenya Forest Service, Kenya Wildlife Service, NETFUND, UNDP, Safaricom Foundation, the Kakamega and Vihiga County Goverments, and local stakeholders, aims to:

Mitigate human-wildlife conflict

Reduce illegal logging and forest degradation

Improve the livelihoods of communities living around the forest
