JAMHURI DAY CELEBRATION

His Excellency Dr. Wilber Khasilwa Ottichilo alongside Ag. County Commissioner Florence Sitawa today led the people of Vihiga in making the 61st #JamhuriDay Celebrations held at Chango Secondary Grounds in Vihiga Sub County.

The Governor took the opportunity to urge residents of Vihiga to register with the Social Health Authority so that they can get services and treatment in our facilities through the Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF)

Dr. Ottichilo further condemned rising cases of Gender Based Violence and insecurity asking residents to report suspected cases of such crimes so that the government can follow up through the relevant channels.

The County Government of Vihiga early this week launched the policy on Sexual Gender Based Violence and Children Protection policies and is also putting up a Rescue Center in Sabatia to help manage and eliminate these. cases.
