SENSITIZATION EXERCISE

County Government of Vihiga through the Department of Finance and Economic Planning today commenced a sensitization exercise for Ward Administrators, County Service Delivery Unit (SDU) and Liaison Officers on the County Fiscal Strategy Paper (CFSP), which is currently in its drafting stage.

The sensitization aims at equipping the officers with adequate knowledge and skills to lead and facilitate public participation forums at the ward level.

According to Director of Budget Dickson Amunga, the County Government will for the first time conduct the Public Participation exercise at ward level instead of Sub-County level, a shift that reflects the County’s commitment to inclusivity and grassroots involvement in the County’s budgetary and development priorities.
