Vihiga Governor Dr. Wilber Khasilwa Ottichilo today received a courtesy call from SiSi Village Produce Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Patrick S. Kisia.

‎SiSi Village Produce is a community-focused Agro-processing business based in Kenya’s Lake Region Economic Bloc (LREB) with a focus on Hass Avocado and Bee Keeping (Apiculture).

‎

‎With 8 Cooperatives comprising of 80 members, the CEO has encouraged other farmers to join or form more cooperatives for easy access to funding. The company has one million seedling campaign to push for the crops stability in the next 6 years and to establish processors and aggregation centers for the farmers.

County Government of Vihiga through the Department of Agriculture Livestock and Fisheries will collaborate with SiSi Village Produce through signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enable farmers benefit from the program.

‎The Department of Agriculture distributed Hass Avocado seedlings to farmers while the Department of Commerce, Tourism and Cooperatives is constructing an Aggregation center which will enable farmers sell their products and practice value addition therefore earning a living.
