WOMEN FARMERS ASSOCIATION OF KENYA

Governor Dr. Wilber Khasilwa Ottichilo today received a courtesy call from Women Farmers Association of Kenya (WoFaAk) team led by Alice Kirambi.

‎The meeting’s agenda was centered on;

Introducing WoFaAk to the County

Discussing potential collaborative activities and partnerships with the Department of Agriculture Livestock and Fisheries, Gender Youths and Social Services, as well as Trade Commerce and Cooperatives.

‎

‎WoFaAk is a National umbrella organization of women farmers in Kenya whose main goal is to address issues that impede women farmers from undertaking both profitable and sustainable Agricultural enterprise with a view to improve their livelihoods.

‎

The ‎Governor welcomed the team, acknowledging contribution made by women in the County’s Agricultural sector.

He further urged them to collaborate with established partners in the said departments who are funding farmers and youths on various Agricultural Value Chains, activities and also enhancing Agri-Business.
