Kenya National Drama and Film Festivals

Maseno Vocational Training Centre (VTC) staged an outstanding performance in the just concluded 63rd Edition of the Kenya National Drama and Film festivals held in Nakuru County to successfully defend their modern dance title won last year.

County Government of Vihiga sponsored 6 VTCs with a total of 14 performances.

They include;

Mwambeba

Boyani

Gimomoi

St. Peter’s Hambale

Maseno’s Modern Dance item dubbed ‘String of

Passion’ is among items that will be showcased during a State Concert that will be graced by President William Samoei Ruto at the Nakuru State Lodge.

Dr. Ruth Agesa – CECM Education Vihiga County noted that Co-curricular activities play an important role since they’re entrenched in the syllabus of VTCs.

On his part, Chief Officer in charge of Education Dominic Luvavo reaffirmed the department’s continued support to the teams, a move he said will impact positively on results.

Others officers who accompanied the teams include; Directors Charles Avedi (TVET), Victor Serede (ECDE) together with the Department’s Program Officers.
