COMBATING CERVICAL CANCER

County Government of Vihiga in partnership with Cure Cervical Cancer Organisation- Kenya has organized a two-day training session for 200 Community Health Promoters (CHP) on screening and management process of Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), the deadly virus that causes Cervical Cancer.

Through the Department of Health Services, the trainees were taken through;

General knowledge about Cervical Cancer

Prevention measures of Cervical Cancer

How to educate and conduct screening on women in communities

SHA registration campaign

Under this second phase, the program targets to screen and manage more than 6,000 women against human Papilloma Virus.
