BUKHOLI WATER SUPPLY AND CATCHMENT CONSERVATION PROJECT

County Executive Committee Member (CECM) in charge of Department of Environment Water Energy Natural Resources & Climate Change Dr. Jairus Amayi today led a team from the department in a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Ebukholi Water Supply and Catchment Conservation Project in North East Bunyore ward, Emuhaya Sub County.
The project’s scope of work entails;
✅Rehabilitation of spring source and related works
✅Construction of 100 Cubic Metre masonry clear water tank at Wamaina Spring and fencing of site
✅Installation of solar pumping system capacity 20 Cubic Metre/hr head 100 Metres and electrical protection, security and lighting systems
✅Laying of rising main to Ebukoli steel elevated storage water tank
✅Supply and erection of 100 Cubic Metre steel elevated tank on 12-Metre steel stand at Esibuye Primary School
✅Conservation of Wamaina Spring catchment and other community identified areas
✅Supply and lay last mile connectivity to 100 house holds.
Ebukholi water project falls under the 4th cycle of the Climate Change Resilience projects being implemented by the County Government of Vihiga through the Directorate of Climate Change.
Also present were CECM for Finance and Economic Planning Onzere Mulongo, Chief Officers Dr. Richard Boiyo (Environment), Dr. Noel Malanda (Water and Sanitation), Director Climate Change Winstone Atamba among other County Government of Vihiga officers.
