GENDER DESK AND CHILD PROTECTION UNIT

Dr. Ruth Agesa – CECM Gender,Youths,sports ,Culture and social services today joined Hon. Beatrice Adagala – Vihiga County Woman Rep. in opening a Gender Desk and Child Protection Unit at Vihiga Police Station.

‎The unit, donated by the Independent Medico-Legal Unit (IMLU), together with the already established Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Centre in Sabatia, will go a great mile in solving GBV cases across the County.

In her remarks, Dr. Agesa urged residents to speak out and report such cases to relevant authorities whenever they occur in order for them to get the necessary support and culprits to face charges.
