The County Government of Vihiga’s County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Education, Science, Technical and Vocational Training today received a courtesy call from the KCB Bank Kenya Mbale Branch Manager Florence Mbuge as a follow up to the County and the Bank’s signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the 2jiajiri programme.
The 2jiajiri programme targets Vocational Training Centres (VTCs) and has three training phases, namely skills enhancement, incubation for startups and businesses, and capacity building of trainers, trainees and managers.
In her remarks, CECM Anne Desma noted that the Department through the VTCs was ready for the actualization of the 2jiajiri programme and that the participants would be enrolled in sequences.
For her part, the KCB Bank Kenya Mbale Branch Manager Florence Mbuge said that they are willing and ready to roll out the programme with plans underway to commence by January 2026.
The courtesy call was also attended by the Department of Education, Science and Vocational Training Chief Officer Dominic Luvavo, TVET Director Charles Avedi, and the KCB Foundation Western Region Coordinator Wycliffe Indimuli.
