Today, the County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Health, Nicholas Kitungulu, hosted Ms. Betty Adera, the Deputy Country Director/Director of Program Delivery at Living Goods, during a courtesy call to his office.
The County Government of Vihiga continues to partner with Living Goods in strengthening community health systems through the digitization of community health services.
During the visit, Ms. Adera appreciated the strong partnership and support from the County Government of Vihiga and reaffirmed Living Goods’ commitment to continue working collaboratively to advance community health outcomes.
CECM Kitungulu commended the partnership’s impact, noting that Vihiga recently emerged top nationally in meeting Community Health Promoter (CHP) performance targets, as highlighted in the latest Ministry of Health report. He emphasized the importance of maintaining consistency and continuous improvement to ensure CHPs deliver quality promotive and preventive health services which are key pillars in achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC). He also thanked Living Goods for the ongoing support and reiterated the County’s commitment to fostering an enabling environment for the partnership to thrive.
