ANNUAL WORK PLAN AND BUDGET (AWP&B) FOR THE FY 2026/27

The National Agricultural Value Chain Development Project (NAVCDP) being implemented in Vihiga County held its first public participation on the development of the Annual Work Plan and Budget (AWP&B) for the FY 2026/27.
‎The process seeks to form the basis for defining the project activities for funds allocation to achieve the agreed targets and prepare the County FY2026/27 AWP&B in line with the project community-prioritized investments as stipulated in the PICD process. It will also be in line with the Council of Governors aspiration of appropriating 80% of the budget allocation to county investments, together with the government blueprint of maintaining a healthy livestock subsector through vaccination.
‎Stakeholders drawn from the Community Driven Development Committees (CDDCs), Farmer Producer Groups (FPOs), Savings and Credit Cooperative Organizations (SACCOs), Sustainable Land Management Committees (SLMCs) and the Social Accountability Integrity Committees (SAICs) were able to give their views and amendments on the document for the benefit of the farmers on boarded on the project.
