CANADIAN NURSES FOR AFRICA’S MEDICAL CAMP IN SABATIA ENTERS WEEK TWO

The Canadian Nurses For Africa (CNFA) team has entered its second week of providing free medical and preventive health care services to communities in Sabatia Sub-County.
Today, the County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Health Services, Nicholas Kitungulu visited the team at Kegondi Health Centre where he commended the initiative for its positive impact on community health.
“This is a noble cause that is impactful to our society. We shall continue to partner with such organizations for the benefit of the people of Vihiga,” said CECM Kitungulu.
According to Trish Corbet, the lead nurse and Canadian Nurses for Africa Vice President, the team attends to an average of 500 people daily, with the majority being elderly residents. The medical camp is scheduled to conclude at the end of this week.
