CONSULTATIVE MEETING
County Government of Vihiga through the Department of Agriculture today held a consultative meeting with a team from Seed Co led by Quinter Adero (Coordinator, Vihiga region).
The meeting was centered on chatting the way forward in regard to the long rains preparation, activities and engagement with farmers.
Seed Co is impacting farmers’ lives positively by teaching them on good Agricultural practices and ways in which they can maximize produce in their farms.
The long rain preparation activities include:
1. Trade fairs in collaboration with the County Government’s Department of Agriculture
2. Product Development sites
3. Demos or learning centere for both vegetables and cereals
4. Field days on Sub County demos
5. Farmers’ training as may be organized by Farmer groups, Seed Co and the Department of Agriculture
6. Participation in any activities that may be organized by the Department of Agriculture
