CONSULTATIVE MEETING
County Government of Vihiga through the Department of Physical Planning, Lands, Housing and Urban Development in collaboration with OAKAR Services held a consultative meeting regarding the scoping mission on the Land Information Management System (LIMS).
The program’s main aim is to establish a comprehensive understanding of the County’s current Land Information Management and evaluate its readiness for the implementation of a C-LIMS.
In her remarks, Hon. Grace Kadenge – CECM Physical Planning, Lands, Vihiga County said digitalizing land records will make it easier to share and trace data or records, to edit and integrate data within the system.
According to OAKAR Services’ Managing Director Erick Nyadimo, LIMS will help bring up gaps that need to be addressed thus enabling the County to manage its lands records in a better way, away from analogue system to digital.
