A team from the State Department of Culture, Arts and Heritage today morning paid a courtesy call to Vihiga Governor Dr. Wilber Khasilwa Ottichilo .
Led by the Director of Culture in the Ministry of Sports, Culture and Heritage Dr. Kiprop Lagat, the team is in the County to conduct a feasibility study of the Cultural heritage and plan for the upcoming International Intangible Cultural Heritage Music and Dance Festival to be held in October this year.
Dr. Ottichilo took the opportunity to welcome the team and agreed to host the event. He further cited the diverse cultural activities in Vihiga, top amongst them being shrines, music, herbs, traditional foods and attire, thus makes the County best-placed to host the event.
