DIGITIZATION OF BODABODA AND TUK-TUK SACCOS

Car and General in collaboration with Equity Bank and Safaricom is spearheading the digitization of Bodaboda and Tuk-Tuk SACCOs to enhance their operational efficiency, financial management and member services.This initiative aims to provide SACCO members with secure, transparent and automated financial systems, ensuring accountability and improved service delivery.

In a meeting with Governor Dr. Wilber Khasilwa Ottichilo , Car and General’s Head of ICT Gilbert Mutai accompanied by the Regional Sales Manager for TVs Oscar Ousa and Vihiga County BodaBoda Chairman Franklin Muchile briefed the Governor on the progress so far in the ongoing system implementation and roadmap for full SACCO automation for the Boda Boda sector in Vihiga.

The Vihiga County Boda Boda SACCO Digital Transformation Program is designed to empower members by streamlining financial processes, improving transaction transparency and leveraging digital tools for enhanced financial inclusion. Through this initiative, SACCO members will gain access to digital banking, automated savings and loan management, real-time payment tracking, and financial literacy programs, ensuring sustainable economic growth for the community.
