MATCH MAKING WORKSHOP

Department of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries today organized a match making workshop for Community Driven Development Committees (CDDCs), Agriprenuers, Ward Agricultural Officers (WAOs) and Sub County Technical Advisory Committee (CTAC).
The workshop’s main objectives included;
To create an understanding on roles and responsibilities of CDDCs in the Agriprenuer Model

To outline the roles and responsibilities of the Ward Agriculture Officer in the Agri-preneur Model as the new extension architecture

To outline the roles and responsibilities of the Sub CTAC in the Agriprenuer Model

To understand the roles and responsibilities of the an Agriprenuer in the Agriprenuer Model

To outline the linkages among the CDDCs, WAOs, Agriprenuers and Sub CTAC in the Agriprenuer Model implementation

While chairing the session, Governor Dr. Wilber Khasilwa Ottichilo expressed his gratitude to the Agripreneurs for the job well done in the first phase, urging them to collaborate with Ward Agricultural Officers in executing their duties.
Additionally, Dr. Ottichilo also called for patience and commitment from Agripreneurs while conducting their duties for them to become self employed and not depend on white collar jobs.
