MECHANISMS TO MANAGE CERVICAL CANCER

The County Government of Vihiga in partnership with Cure Cervical Cancer – curecervicalcancer.org is conducting a training for Community Health Promoters(CHPs) on improved skills of early diagnosis and prevention of cervical cancer.

Community Health Promoters have been empowered with knowledge on how to conduct self samples techniques to collect HPV virus, the deadly virus that causes cervical cancer.

CHPs will be involved in sample collecting of HPV virus exercises next week as the department targets to screen more than 5000 women on HPV virus that leads to cervical cancer in Luanda South Ward where the program is being piloted.
