NADIRADI WATER PROJECT
More than 100 households in Busali ward, Sabatia Sub County can now access constant supply of clean and safe water following the official commissioning of the Nadiradi Water Project.
In an occasion graced by Governor Dr. Wilber Khasilwa Ottichilo today, the Augmentation of Nadiradi water project entailed;
Supply and installation of a 100,000-Litre elevated steel tank on a 12M steel tower Pipelines connection to the existing borehole 18KM distribution pipelines covering Budira, Ludzu, Chatamilu, Lusiola, Jemude and Mulundu areasLast Mile connectivity to householdsAccording to Governor Ottichilo, his administration has implemented 28 projects across the County under the Vihiga County Climate Change Fund (VCCF) and Financing Locally-Led Climate Action Program, Kenya in a move that seeks to address effects of Climate Change and building resilience.
Additionally, the County Boss said there will be more connections to the Nadiradi water project to increase access, urging residents to embrace proper management of the project for sustainability purposes.
This project has been implemented by County Government of Vihiga through the Directorate of Climate Change under the Financing Locally Led Climate Action(FLLoCA) Program.
