PEER LEARNING TOUR

The Chepareria and Kapenguria Municipalities Boards of Management from West Pokot County have successfully concluded a two-day peer learning tour of the Vihiga Municipality Board.

During the visit, the Boards of Management had the opportunity to gain insights into the successful implementation of the Kenya Urban Support Program 1 (KUSP 1), explore the operations of the Geospatial Information System (GIS), visit the Vihiga Municipality Biogas Plant and engage in a consultative boardroom meeting with Vihiga Municipality staff.

Speaking during the consultative meeting the Vihiga County Executive Committee Member for Physical Planning, Lands, and Housing, Prof. Mike Iravo, noted that the exchange tour offered valuable exposure for Vihiga, especially as the county advances plans to develop two additional municipalities, Luanda and Kaimosi-Cheptul.
