POSITIVE PROGRESS ON THE ONGOING MODEL MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH CENTRE CONSTRUCTION

Eight months down the line after official groundbreaking, The Model Maternal and Child Health Centre construction at Vihiga County Referral Hospital (VCRH) is currently at 90% complete.

Through partnership between the County Government of Vihiga and Safaricom Foundation, the State of the Art Health facility is expected to serve over 700,000 expectant mothers who will access quality health care services in Vihiga and neighbouring counties upon completion.

Domiciled under the Department of Health Services, the facility is designed to host a Theatre, Newborn Unit, Kangaroo room, Labour ward, Delivery room and Post-Natal ward to offer quality maternal Healthcare services to our mothers.
