PUBLIC PARTICIPATION EXERCISE

The Department of Finance and Economic Planning through the Directorate of Revenue today completed a two-day County-wide Public Participation exercise on the Vihiga County Finance Bill 2025 as stipulated in the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and the Public Finance Management (PFM) Act 2012.

‎According to Director Revenue George Omusula, the Directorate is seeking views from the public on the proposed levies of own-source revenue that will be incorporated in the Finance Act.

During the exercise, residents from the six Sub Counties in Vihiga County got a chance to evaluate the document, give their views and propose some amendments to be made to some of the revenue sources before it’s tabled in the County Assembly for further review.
