RESTORING MARAGOLI HILLS FOREST
Cabinet Secretary Deborah Mlongo Barasa and Dr. Richard Boiyo, Chief Officer, Environment, Energy, Natural Resources and Climate Change, Vihiga County leading Ministry and County staff, local community, and partners in a rapid tree growing exercise at Inavi, Maragoli Hills Forest.
The 1000-acre Maragoli Hills Forest, previously degraded, is undergoing tremendous regeneration following its assignment to the Ministry by the Cabinet under the revitalized weekly tree growing efforts spearheaded by Cabinet Secretaries.
The CS was accompanied by Environment Secretary Dr. Selly Kimosop and #15BillionTrees Secretariat Coordinator Ms. Susan Boit.
