REVENUE REVIEW MEETING

County Government of Vihiga’s capacity to generate own revenue remains pivotal in driving sustainable development. In a bid to enhance these efforts, Governor Dr. Wilber Khasilwa Ottichilo chaired a revenue review meeting attended by County Executive Committee Members, Chief Officers, and departmental Directors.
The gathering provided an opportunity to reflect on the 2024/2025 financial year, which concluded on 30th June 2025, and to evaluate the county’s performance in surpassing its revenue targets.
In 2024/25, Vihiga County collected KES 397 million in revenue, exceeding its KES 340 million target.
Looking ahead to the 2025/2026 financial year, the County Executive set fresh targets for all sectors and emphasized the need for improved strategies to outdo last year’s achievements.
Dr. Ottichilo called on all departments to demonstrate commitment and collaboration, underscoring that the county’s ability to mobilize resources is essential for delivering quality services and meeting the needs of Vihiga residents.
