Selection Panel

I today presided over the swearing-in ceremony of the Selection Panel tasked with overseeing the competitive recruitment of a County Secretary.

The County Secretary is a key person in the leadership and governance of the county. He/she is the bridge between the County Government and the National Government, donors and all other Agencies.

In line with Section 44(2A) of the County Governments Act, The following have been sworn in as members of the selection panel:-

1. Amb. Bruce K. Madete – Chairperson

2. Elizabeth Angeo – Member

3. Victor Osango – Member

4. CPA Harriet Iragosa Mahasi – Member

5. Wycliffe Etoya Omucheyi – Member

l expect the panel to act impartially and come up with a person with a strong character and who understands government systems and has the resilience to deal with many people with diverse opinions and who is capable of heading Vihiga County Public Service.
