Sensitisation Meeting

Department of Health Services, Vihiga County through the support of Access To Medicines Platform carried out a sensitisation meeting to review The Vihiga County Reproductive Maternal, Neonatal, Child and Adolescent Health Act, 2020.

The Act is a legal framework that drives public healthcare agendas that:

Support the implementation of community health services.

Create awareness on transmission, prevention and control of Sexually Transmitted infections.

Increase family planning uptake.

Provide a framework for cash transfers of authorised payment to needy mothers registered in the Vihiga County Reproductive Maternal, Neonatal, Child and Adolescent Health Program.

Provide a platform aimed at giving incentives to expectant and lactating to access health services.
