SWEARING IN OF THE COUNTY FLAG AND OTHER SYMBOLS

Governor Dr. Wilber Khasilwa Ottichilo has today afternoon witnessed the swearing in of the County Flag and Other Symbols selection panel.
The panel is tasked to compose a compelling and memorable County anthem that reflects the essence of Vihiga County by engaging residents in the anthem development process, ensuring inclusivity and ownership.
Speaking after the exercise, Dr. Ottichilo expressed confidence that the team will deliver the best through their collective wisdom and expertise.
He noted that development and adoption of the official County Anthem is of great importance in defining our County’s identity and shaping its future, an effort that represents a significant step towards fostering a sense of unity and pride.
To build a united and prosperous County, the Governor added that Vihiga needed symbols that celebrate heritage and inspire aspirations of people.
Once in place, the anthem will promote unity and cohesion, celebrate identity and heritage, inspire pride and patriotism and enhance visibility and recognition.
