TIRIKI EAST SUB-COUNTY HOSTS ITS 1ST NATIONAL FETE

As Kenya marks 62 years of internal self-rule, Governor Wilber Khasilwa Ottichilo joined the residents of Vihiga County for the #Madaraka_Day Celebrations at Shaviringa Primary School.
In his remarks, Governor Ottichilo lauded the National Government for its efforts in ensuring the steadfast birth of Tiriki-East Sub County. He assured the residents of a true Madaraka for them as plans to have issuance of Title Deeds for the Shaviringa and Shiru settlers are on the final stages, since a memo has already been submitted and approved by the cabinet.
“I would like us to embrace this child of ours otherwise known as Tiriki East Sub-County. This Sub-County is quite key in the development of Vihiga as it has institutions in all kinds of levels therefore making it a hub of gradual development and quite key in our socio-economic plan as a county,” said the county boss.
The Governor further noted that his administration will ensure that administrative structures in both county and national level are well put in place to ensure smooth delivery of services to the residents.
Deputy Governor Wilberforce Kitiezo who was also present, affirmed that the County Goverment through its structures will complete the realization of Cheptul-Kaimosi Municipality, a move that will be key in the proper spatial planning of the new Sub-County.
