Ugatuzi Wall
County Government of Vihiga in collaboration with Shining Hope for Communities (SHOFCO) today launched the ‘Ugatuzi Wall’ to collect public views on Devolution and Youth Empowerment.
The wall will be used to collect citizen’s input to guide County Planning, Budgets and Public Service Delivery thus reinforcing Public Participation obligations under the Devolution laws.
Once collected, the views will form part of the discussion at the 2025 Devolution Conference to be held in Homa Bay County from 12th to 15th August 2025.
SHOFCO and County Government of Vihiga have an ongoing collaboration formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in March 2024 that spans sectors such as Gender, Agriculture, Health, Education, Environment and Women and Youth Empowerment.
