VACCINATION

To Combat Measles, Rubella and Typhoid outbreak, The County government of Vihiga through the Department of Health services today launched The Vihiga County Integration Measles Rubella and Typhoid conjugate vaccine.

The 10 days exercise will be conducted in Health facilities, Schools, Religion gathering and all markets across the County.

While launching the program Chief Officer incharge of health services department Dr. Mary Anyiendah called for high turnout as the docket targets to prevent and save lives of the young generations.

Children between the age of 9 months to 14 years are legible for the vaccination.

The program targets to vaccinate;

361,000 children against Typhoid.

66,000 children against Measles/Rubella.
