MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING

County Government of Vihiga in collaboration with Living Goods held a Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) progress review meeting for the Community Health Systems (CHS)/eCHIS program implementation.
Through the Department of Health Services, Vihiga entered into partnership with Living Goods to strengthen CHS by adopting a ‘Digitally-enabled, Equipped, Supervised and Compensated (DESC)’ Community Health workforce as outlined in the Governor’s manifesto.
The partnership is meant to strengthen;
✅Service Delivery
✅Health workforce
✅Health Information Systems
✅Access to essential medicines
✅Health System Financing
✅Leadership & Governance
County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Health Services Julius Maruja appreciated Living Goods for their work at grassroots level that has seen great impact at community level.
According to Living Goods Director for Program Delivery Caroline Kahora ,Vihiga county is among top three Counties that qualified for support from Living goods since their entry in 2022.
