PUBLIC PARTICIPATION EXERCISES

County Government of Vihiga through the Department of Finance and Economic Planning today kicked off Public Participation exercises on the County Fiscal Strategy Paper (CFSP) for the Financial Year 2025/2026.

Members of the public, Civil Society Organizations, Faith -Based organizations, Private Sector practitioners and other interested parties drawn from Luanda, Vihiga and Emuhaya Sub Counties today conglomerated at Ebusakami ACK, Gavalagi Friends and Ebukholi AIC churches respectively to express their views on the draft CFSP.

This is pursuant to the provisions of article 220 (2) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 read together with section 87 of the County Government Act 2012 on Citizen Engagement and section 117 of the Public Finance Management Act, 2012.

Residents of Sabatia, Hamisi and Tiriki East Sub Counties will have an opportunity to air their opinions tomorrow at Salamba (Chamakanga), Munzatsi Friends and Lododo Friends churches respectively.

Written submissions can be forwarded to Sub County, Ward Administrators and Dpartment of Finance and Economic Planning offices.

Submissions may also be mailed to Co.economicplanning@vihiga.go.ke by close of business on Friday 21st February, 2025.
