SUPPORT MISSION

Officials from the Ministry of Water and Sanitation accompanied by a team from World Bank led by Elly Ochere today held a meeting with Governor Dr. Wilber Khasilwa Ottichilo where they briefed him on their two-day support mission on implementation of the Kenya Water and Sanitation Hygiene (K-WASH) Program in Vihiga.
The team was able to:
✅Review the implementation progress of activities towards achieving the Disbursement Linked Indicators (DLIs)
✅Assess compliance with the Program Action Plan (PAP) and the Environmental and Social Commitment Plan (ESCP) as outlined in the operation manuals
✅Conduct field visits to evaluate progress towards achieving Year 1 result
K-WASH program is geared towards improving lives and health through development and management of sustainable Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) services in Kenya.
The project aims to unlock water and sanitation access in 19 counties classified as either rural or ASAL areas in Kenya.
